Dacryopinax spathularia  (1 Photo and Description)

Dacryopinax spathularia is a saprotrophic jelly fungus shaped like a flattened fan or spatula. Fruitbodies grow from decaying wood. They are bright yellow orange initially and then become more orange-red on drying out. The rounded stem is darker. It is edible and is eaten in China, southeast Asia and Hawaii.
