Tricholomopsis sulphureoides is a yellow to pale yellow mushroom with a somewhat scaly cap which sometimes has a central umbo and with a fairly persistent inrolled margin and yellow gills with shorter lamellae in between long ones. The stem is often off-center and curved depending on the angle from which it grows on a log. It has a white spore print. This mushroom grows on debarked well-decayed conifer wood. It is a saprotroph. Edibility is unknown.
