Megacollybia rodmanii (Tricholomopsis platyphylla) 

Saprotroph found attached to dead hardwood (sometimes buried) from mid to late spring through autumn.

Medium to large mushroom. Cap is brown to olive-brown with streaks. White gills are notched. Base is slightly enlarged.

Mild taste, no odor or color change. Enjoyed by insect larvae. Often seen and confused with Pluteus cervinus.
