Aureoboletus roxanae (Boletus roxanae) (4 Photos and Description)


Aureoboletus roxanae has a somewhat granular reddish-brown to yellow-brown cap skin. Pores are pale becoming yellowish with age and bruise cinnamon-brown. Yellow stipe is longitudinally lined and rust-orange zone at the apex. Can be found in mixed forests with oak and pines. Cap flesh tastes bad. Edibility unknown.
