Cystodermella cinnabarinum 07271

Cystodermella cinnabarinum (Cystoderma cinnabarinum) has a cinnabar-rusty-reddish granular cap, close, attached white gills, a white spore print, and a somewhat granular stipe below the ephemeral veil. The base of the stem is bulbous before eventually becoming straighter. The granules are easily removed. It is a saprotroph that feeds on conifer needles and dead woody debris.
