Syzygospora mycetophila (Peck) Ginns & Sunhede (1986)
‘Collybia Jelly’ is a gelatinous, waxy white to pale yellowish tumor-like growth found only on Gymnopus dryophilus. It is considered parasitic on the cap and/or stem of Gymnopus dryophilus (Collybia dryophila). It does not attck the gills. Interestingly, the fruit bodies are actually composed of the infected mushroom’s tissue.
