“Blewits” (blue hats) - Saprotrophic on leaf-litter and wood chips. They have a pale pink spore print, whereas similar-looking possibly toxic young purple Cortinarius species, have rusty-brown spore print. Can be found in lawns, gardens and the woods in cooler autumn weather. Dry well. A delicious edible. It is in the Tricholomataceae family of the Agaricales order.
