What is your purpose in taking mushroom photos?  Your intent might dictate the equipment you need, such as a tripod, flash, the type of camera you should be using.  Do you want to document your finds for self-study; for a mushroom website; for PP presentations, for NAMA or club photo contests? Do you aim to create photos that are publishable in a field guide should you be discovered by a writer in need of good photos?
