Lactifluus corrugis has a reddish-brown wrinked, corrugated cap. Its gills are initially a warm buff, but turn orange to brownish with maturity. Like Lactifluus volemus, it produces copious white latex which discolors the gills brownish. The latex is mild to taste. This mushroom emits a fish-like odor when old. It can be found under deciduous trees. It is considered by many to be a choice edible.
