Your image might not look bad in a 4 x 6 photo, but if you blow it up to a 11 x 14 you will see the noise. It is amplified. Photos can end up looking like an impressionist painting; detail, sharpness and clarity.

Can avoid digital noise by shooting at lower ISO.
