Collybia cookei (Bres.) J.D. Arnold 1935
differs from Collybia tuberosa in having round yellow to yellow-orange seed-like sclerotia attached to their basal mycelium rather than elliptical reddish-brown sclerotia. Like the latter, they can be found growing from decayed mushrooms. Another small and similar appearing mushroom is Collybia cirrhata, which lacks sclerotia. It is in the Tricholomataceae family of the Agaricales order.
