Amanita spreta (Peck) Saccardo
has a tan to grayish-brown radially streaked cap with a darker disc and paler shortly striate margin. The partial veil leaves a white ring on the upper stem. The stem base sits in a small sack-like white volva that flares outward at the top. Can be found with hardwoods and conifers.
