This is a tiny pink-tan or paler Mycena that grows on the bark of fallen and standing hardwoods and conifers. Cap and stipe are adorned with minute flecks. Gills distant. Cap develops pleats with age. Like many species of Marasmius, it shrivels when dry and reconstitutes with wet weather. It is in the Mycenaceae family of the Agaricales.
