Marasmius siccus  

Marasmius siccus (Schweinitz) Fries 1838

has an orange to orange brown pleated cap that fades with age. The pale white to yellowish gills are distantly spaced. Stem is wiry, paler near the apex and darker brown from the base upward.  It is saprotrophic on leaves and sticks of hardwoods and sometimes on needles of conifers. Its basal mycelium is white and the spores are white. It can be foun d especially after rain summer through fall. It is in the Marasmiaceae family of the Agaricales order.
