These satiny dry white cap and stem mushrooms grow in connected clusters in fall in forest leaf and/or conifer debris. The cap margin is initially inrolled, but becomes flattish with maturity. The broadly attached white gills are very close and narrow. The stem has white basal mycelium. The spore print is pale pinkish. is in the Tricholomataceae family of the Agaricales order.
